Registered Nurse Turned Advocate Against Workplace Bullying
Hello, I’m Molly, the founder of Code Bully and a dedicated voice for mental health awareness. For 15 years, I served as a Registered Nurse, working in Pediatrics, Trauma, Medical-Surgical Instruction, Crisis Psychiatry, and Substance Abuse. My nursing career was more than a job; it was my passion. Yet, I faced countless instances of bullying in the workplace and experiences that fueled my decision to make a change.
"The first step in the evolution of ethics is a sense of solidarity with other human beings."
-Albert Schweitzer

As a young woman, I always knew I wanted to help people. I loved caring for pediatric patients, assisting in emergency trauma situations, and supporting those battling addiction. From busy hospital wings to fast-paced clinics, compassion and dedication defined my role.
However, over time, I encountered a toxic undercurrent that had nothing to do with patient care: workplace bullying. Despite putting my heart and soul into my work, repeated harassment and intimidation wore me down. Sadly, these negative encounters led to depression, anxiety, and ultimately, PTSD. After extensive self-reflection and therapy, I chose to leave the profession I loved in order to protect my well-being and pursue a new calling.

My personal experiences inspired me to create Code Bully, a platform dedicated to exposing and preventing workplace bullying, while promoting positive mental health strategies. Bullying is a widespread problem, often overlooked but with devastating repercussions on one’s confidence, career path, and emotional stability. I founded Code Bully to ensure that nobody else has to suffer in silence—especially in industries as critical as healthcare, where compassion should always be the cornerstone.

At Code Bully, we develop resources, initiatives, and training solutions that empower organizations, leaders, and individuals to combat bullying in a direct, constructive manner. Drawing on my background in rigorous medical settings and psychiatric care, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply bullying can impact a person’s psychological state. Now, I focus on turning my challenges into actionable solutions, offering workshops, online programs, and thought leadership that address barriers to healthy workplace cultures.
I believe every professional, whether new to their field or a seasoned veteran, deserves to feel safe and supported at work. Code Bully represents a beacon of hope for anyone who has silently endured ridicule, harassment, or intimidation. By sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to speak up, seek help, and foster change in their own organizations.
